Plan your visit

Keep your booked entry time. Start with the pools, take a lunch break and return to the infinity pool near sunset. Add a treatment only if you both want one.

Already booked? Keep your entry window. Saturday walk-ins can be unavailable; today’s remaining tickets and treatment slots are not confirmed here.

WaterApproximate indoor area

Reconstructed from public architectural drawings dated October 2023 and current SoJo listings. Shapes are simplified; indoor markers identify areas, not exact rooms. Use signs and staff for the final approach. No live position or turn-by-turn directions.

Map sources and accuracy

The municipal as-built drawings, sheets AB-2 and AB-3 establish the courtyard, outdoor pools, sand-bath enclosure and elevator core. The site plan places River Road on the right and Vreeland Terrace along the bottom. This view is aligned to the building, not north-up.

Current outdoor, indoor and dining listings confirm floor assignments. The architect’s aerial photos corroborate the rooftop pool and terraces. Indoor room boundaries and routes are not verified. Renovations since the drawings may affect the layout.

Pools

Suggested route

Adjust the order to your entry time and any appointments.

  1. Get your bearingsOn arrival

Agree where to meet after changing, then check any treatment opening you actually want before settling into the pools. If you have an appointment, SoJo recommends reaching the facility at least an hour early. Arrival guidance

  2. Infinity pool and bathsFirst stop

Visit the infinity pool for the view. If it is busy, move on to hydrotherapy or the Japanese silk bath; those were Condé Nast Traveler reviewer Meaghan Kenny’s alternatives to the crowded infinity pool. Return to the infinity pool later if it is crowded. Read Kenny’s review

  3. Saunas and a restBetween pools

Try a sauna that appeals to both of you, or skip straight to a lounge. There is no need to complete every room. amNewYork’s firsthand visit makes the case for wandering between bathing and resting rather than treating the place like a checklist. Read the amNewYork visit

  4. Lunch at the Food Hall6th floor

Eat at the Food Hall, then take a break. Save the conversation for dining and social spaces; keep the relaxation areas quiet. The outdoor grill is listed as closed for the season. Current dining options

  5. Return to your favoriteAfternoon

Repeat the pool you liked most, or use this stretch for your one booked extra. If you arrive late, shorten the exploration and keep lunch, a favorite pool and dusk.

  6. Infinity pool at dusk5:45–6:30pm

Our suggested window for a second skyline visit: sunset is about 6:02pm, with civil twilight ending around 6:30pm. Expect changing light, not a promise of clear skies. If outdoor areas close, take the pause indoors. 24 October sun calendar

Couples massage

Choose this if you want a treatment in the same room. amNewYork’s writer tried a couples massage with a friend and reported a positive experience. That is one firsthand account, not a guarantee.

Ask for a shared-room slot and the full price for two.

Volcanic sand bath

Claire’s firsthand review describes warm, weighted sand and feeling deeply relaxed afterward. SoJo currently lists $20 per person, added to admission.

Sign up onsite in the SoJo app; ask whether you can go together.

If you both want a scrub

Korean body scrub

Claire strongly enjoyed hers, but describes full nudity in the gendered bathhouse. This is time apart for the two of you, so choose it because you each want it, not because a review says it is essential.

Agree on a meeting spot afterward.

Read the firsthand account

Before paying: ask how treatment and admission charges combine. SoJo lists two hours of access for qualifying individual services of $215+, with a discounted admission charge for longer stays; Korean scrubs are excluded. Confirm how this applies to your couples booking, especially if you already bought entry. Booking terms

Before you go

  • Entry: arrive within your booked window. After check-in, stay until closing; leaving ends that admission.
  • Provided: robe, towels and locker. Wear the robe indoors; barefoot indoors except clean socks. Clean sandals are allowed outdoors and in locker rooms/bathhouses.
  • Phones: quick photos only where permitted. No phone or camera use in bathhouses or locker rooms; no photography in saunas.
  • Food and drink: no outside food or drinks, and no alcohol. Plan the celebration toast somewhere else after you leave.
  • Treatments: cancellation within 24 hours costs 50%; no-show 100%. Late arrival reduces treatment time. Ask before committing today.
Why these picks · sources and limits

Experience advice comes from editorial and firsthand accounts. Official SoJo pages are used for logistics, not proof of quality. The suggested route is our recommendation.

Checked 24 October 2026. Same-day availability remains unconfirmed: the admission page loaded, but its date/time inventory did not appear in our browser check. Recheck before traveling. Known sponsored/hosted pieces and customer-rating sites were not used to rank the experiences. “No disclosure found” does not mean independently self-funded.

Booking changes and weather

Admission and treatment policies differ. The FAQ allows admission cancellation for a refund until 30 minutes before the reservation starts; use the official booking contact. Treatment cancellations inside 24 hours cost 50%, no-shows 100%, and rescheduling inside 24 hours costs $50 per service or $100 for a couples massage.

Outdoor areas may close for weather. Ask staff what is open on arrival; the dusk visit is optional. Sand-bath signup is first come, first served onsite; the page lists a last session at 6pm. Do not leave this enquiry until sunset.
